Oh, sooooo beautiful, Cheery! Did you get one of the garden fairies to take the second one? It's an amazing angle. I have to say that the first one is hands down one of the absolute best pictures in this thread.

Those are excellent, Cheery. As for Bixa's bougainvillea, bougainvillea is always so photogenic that I could have taken that picture. I just put the seeds of my "miscellaneous wildflowers" in a pot today, so we'll have to wait more than a month to see the result of my pitiful effort.

Good grief... You are too kind Bixa dearie. The one taken from a funny angle was me shoving the camera under the flowers and clicking away..pure chance it turned out.

Beautiful hellebores, Cheery!
Love yours, too, Bixa. Those petals look so velvety.

Thank you Lugg. It was in the early morning so the light was hitting it just so and combined with the morning dew it provided a very lovely glint to it.
I did forget to say how much I do love the iris shot K2. I saw it elsewhere and forgot where I commented on it. It's stunning. (and also happens to be one of my favorite flowers).

Embarrassing -- I thought I'd commented on this amazing array. You all each have such a good eye. And I love how the waxy lushness of Lugg's orchid segues perfectly into the silken translucence of Kerouac's iris. Note how they both have similar & similarly colored springboards for their pollinators. Casimira's feel for foliage & patina is beautifully illustrated in that exquisite caladium(?) leaf.

That looks like a twirly flourish that would be placed on top of some sort of food item in a fancy restaurant. But I think it is fantastic as a living flourish that nobody is about to eat.

Lovely, Cheery. Those names are a mouthful, though.
Bixa, that swirly thing is a work of art.

Thanks, NYCG!
Cheery, you looked into their very hearts ~~ lovely!
I almost felt a Victorian blush coming on as I gazed at the nasturtium, and kept thinking the pyrethrum would continue to unfurl. I absolutely adore the light caught in the tiny hairs in that last picture.

Gosh. I want to capture that hue,the subtle tones, texture, hint of wrinkle that is fresh, in a garment and wear it. Just gorgeous Bixa. The center be the perfect adornment to it all....
