I remember being excited when Kodak introduced the APS panoramic cameras. That certainly didn't last long.

I use the Microsoft image editor. You can get an unreal impression. From memory this is 3 rows of 4 images and just let the programme struggle through

Very cool. Now here's an area of photography I've not explored and my larger camera I know has a dynamite feature for it.

A discussion on the Reflections snoitcelfeR image thread reminded me of this image. Though I've never gotten any software that makes panoramas, and my new Canon G12 doesn't take them THAT I KNOW OF, I'm learning to just crop the dam picture so that excess foreground and sky go away. Now I just need a way to get the horizon line more level, as it becomes more obvious that it isn't level when the excess water and sky are gone.

Though I've never gotten any software that makes panoramas, and my new Canon G12 doesn't take them THAT I KNOW OF Kimby, this review states: The last part of the Canon software suite that I want to mention is PhotoStitch. As you can see, this allows you to combine multiple photos into a single panoramic image. It's super easy to use, and the results can be impressive. While using the G12's Stitch Assist feature isn't required to make panoramas, it does help you line things up correctly, so there are no "seams" in the final product. Now I just need a way to get the horizon line more level, Like this?

How did you DO that? Gimme, Gimme, please? Tilted skylines are the bane of my existence, especially in Panorama (Crop) mode.

Another test photo from my new camera of the 'panorama' function. My back garden wilderness

Ooooo! I tend to dislike the panoramas I take because they're so horizontally skinny. Your photo is much more appealing because the proportions seem so normal. Is that a function of the camera, or is it because you didn't sweep the camera the full width in the time allowed?

The skinny look is a real problem. The camera settings seem to allow for about 180 degrees swing, which is ridiculous. I just slow down and let the shots pile up, while trying to maintain a steady movement.
