Alan Billis, a former taxi driver from Torquay, died from lung cancer in January this year. He is the first person since 1323BC to be mummified in the Egyptian style. The process has been recorded in a feature-length science documentary entitled Mummifying Alan: Egypt’s Last Secret. ooer....much as I love all things ancient Egyptian, it's not really my cuppatea.... My youngest jokes that when I die he's going to build me a Long Barrow.....and bury me with artefacts... altho nothing valuable cos he wants all that for himself...

I told my father he's having a Viking burial in the pond on the local park. He was quite happy about it but I don't think the Council would be.

How interesting! I don't know if I would want to keep DH but I like the thought.
Personally, I don't care what happens when I pop my clogs as long as there's real food and good booze at my wake. No sandwiches, please.
