I don't care for the very thin shoestring frites found in Paris, but I'm no fonder of overly thick and soft British chips. Belgium boasts the frite/friet ideal, in my humble opinion.

As I recall, the Kimbys loved the french fries in Turkey, of all places. We also loved Turkish yogurt and especially their mashed potatoes.

I'm glad to hear about the Turkish frites. I've had lovely (Turkish style) yoghourt in European countries (espcially Netherlands). What is so wonderful about their mashed potatoes?

But you can add as much parsley as you want!

That's the hardest work, cutting it all up.

I bought two huge bunches of flat parsley today since I am feeling inspired to make a more Lebanese oriented version of taboulé. But I will just toss it in my food processor except for the bigger stalks, so I don't expect cutting it up to be a problem at all.
However, there will still be plenty of couscous, because that is what sucks up the flavour of the seasoning and the olive oil.

I don't have a food processor that does that.

Really, the texture and taste of parsley chopped with a knife is much better than that of parsley "chopped" in the food processor. Food processors are great for many things, but they are too likely to rip and batter things like fresh herbs.

The very worst thing I ever ate in any school cafetaria was something called "Salisbury steak." I still don't know what it was.

Definitely some good ones there.
I know that canned chicken looks disgusting since it is always one of the star items on such lists, but I think it is unjust.

I haven't been to McDonald's in any country for at least five or six years, but some of this stuff intrigues me.

Except for the fact that it's in a cone, I don't see anything wrong with it. Ice cream is by its very nature a form of delightful wretched excess.
