Before emoting, I just want to say that no one has caught the other fox, front & center in one of the photos.
Lotsa great people pictures here. I really like the one with the girl in the I ❤ NY dress -- the scene is so nicely composed. Ha ha ~~ Bad Girls Club Barbies w/noitcelfer! The dolls' heads photo is super.
Bjd, there was a good mix of tourists and locals. I heard French and Japanese being spoken that day, and I'm sure there were some American tourists as well. I imagine most of them were locals, though, since they had the "Williamsburg hipster" look.
Bixa, good idea! You'd make a great spooky castle decorateur.
nycgirl, this is wonderful. Start to... well, most recent. You can't update this too much. I love the hipster scene.
One of my old buddy's mother crammed her house with Hillbilly Tacky decor, like shelves of gaudy salt n pepper shakers. On her kitchen wall she had hooks shaped like a woman's manicured finger, beckoning. I thought of them as the Wall Sirens. That mannikin arm could serve a similar practical purpose in small NYC apartment: affix to wall, and you have instant attitude hall closet. (I'm thinking of this friend, because I just sent him a vintage hillbilly tacky birthday postcard showing guy with long grey beard sleeping under a tree. The caption: "Sorry I ain't wrote. Too damn busy.")
