Germany does not have a minimum wage law, though, does it?
I just entered the minimum monthly wage in France on the site (1398.37€) and it comes out just a tiny bit over the world average -- $1520 compared to a world average of $1480.

no, no minimum wage here and thus lots of people working for very little money (some even need additional government help even though they work full time). but also a lot of companies have interns and trainees as a big part of their company, doing normal full time jobs - so even with a minimum wage, i suppose they wouldn't need to pay them that... i know lots of people that earn below the french minimum wage... of course, supposedly (at least according to an article i read recently) germany's economy is doing better than france's, in part due to that - but then, what does a good economy of their country help those who can't take part in it...
on the other hand, i and everyone else i know is still a lot better off than, for example, the average person in india or in lots of other countries...
