We're now leaning towards CT > Namibia > Kruger, still settling how many days at each and which ones to drive between. Girl, has done more research on CT so far but I'm catching up now that I've turned my attention to it (holy s***, beautiful).
Any specific vineyards or activities to consider? I'll check back in the thread but I think it was mostly general thoughts.
For Namibia: I´ve no online-pictures of it, but here are my personal highlights: - the dunes at Sossusvlei at sunrise (and try to catch a little group to make the 4x4-drive to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, it is not so expensive - think it was 20$ pP). If you go to Sossusvlei you can visit the beautiful Sesriem Canyon, it is on your way. - the strange German colonial-flair of Swakopmund, if you are a action-junkie there are a lot of things to do around there. Also a scenic-flight over the dunes of the Namib-Desert. - sunset, sunrise and a lonely night under the starry sky at the Spitzkoppe. Unforgettable! - the direct contact with cheetahs at a sanctuary near Outjo/Otjivarongo - the visit of the Himba-Village near Etosha-NP, a very interesting and strange culture!
Oh - there´s so much to do and to see in this two countries...
Yes indeed Nycboy, we leave for Kruger on Saturday - probably about 5am. We have to reach Phalaborwa by nightfall for our first night stop before entering the park on Sunday. I hope to get some good sightings which I will then post on here. Back on 27th.
