Are the mornings dark already?
Living near the equator the sun rises about 5.30am and sets by 6pm. No big change throughout the year.

Sun rises here around 6:30am Central Time. I need to get out into my jungle this weekend and blaze a trail. All the rain in my absence made for a wild, wild jungle. This kind of work I like though.

Don't know what time the sun rose here - but it did and it's still up there and it's heated things up to 27 degrees!

Lucky you, imec. It's been raining most of the day here today. Hopefully it'll be warmer tomorrow. Friday, yet again. Tomorrow my son is having an 'ice-cream' party. An idea him and his friends thought up, no reason for it, apart from the fact that they just want a get together and eat ice-cream and other treats. It'll be a busy day. Sunday, I hope to finish off the very last of my painting, yay!

Seems like you spent the whole summer painting deyana. Good for you, nothing much nicer then a fresh coat of paint on things. Could use some around here but always find something to do in lieu of.

I didn't know it was going to so time consuming, casimira. But, I must admit, it does all look pretty good now. I'll be glad when it's all done though.

When my nephew was still small he would always hug and kiss a 2 meter cement statue of an ice cream cone standing outside our local supermarket. Now he's embarrassed when I remind hiom of it. But he can still eat 5 scoops at a sitting... I'm sure he'd love going to an ice cream party!

Well, next time, I'll sure to mail him an invite. I had to make sure my son ate some nutritious food before the party, then I didn't feel too bad about all the pop, chips, ice cream etc that was consumed later on.

Chores today -- mopping, groceries, that kind of thing. Friend coming to visit tomorrow. Sunday I'm going to a "kermis" at the Xoxo church because the lovely person from whom I get my Sunday tamales asked me to attend. She'll be singing as part of the festivities. I never heard the word "kermis" until I lived in Oaxaca, but it's an English word! www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/kermis

well no special plans for saturday or sunday. tonight my cousin has a concert. i don't particularly feel like going out (concert only even starts at ten and isn't really my type of music) but feel kind of obliged, as he repeatedly told me about it, and i already didn't go to his last concert... oh well... if the weather is nice tomorrow or sunday, i might do a bit of cycling. else studying and cleaning the apartment i suppose.

What kind of music, Rikita? Sometimes, if it's live, I can get into music I'm not that crazy about.

yeah well i suppose i will go for like half an hour, so i can say hello and listen a bit and then go home and sleep... well, i have a cd of one of his other bands, and i like that one better, though it still wouldn't be my favourite... then again i wouldn#t listen to my brother's music either, if he wasn't my brother. i guess musical tastes vary even within a family...

I think the French have the same use too.

I thought i was going to really hate that music, then wound up listing to the whole thing and quite enjoying it. Hope that will be your experience tonight, Rikita.
Fumobici, I've only seen it used as the 2nd definition from the link above.

Isn't it funny that Casimira and Bixa and Don Cuevas and Imec and Lagatta are still on Friday evening while I'm already at the office on Saturday?
What are you all doing? Having supper, a glass of wine, watching TV, putting the children to bed?

I have noticed that the list works on a (usually slight) time delay, but there might be anomalies from time to time.

Woke up to deluge of rain and COOL air which means the drier cool air promised will make for a brilliant autumn like weekend here. Have company coming so will be out and about, dining and enjoying the city during my favorite time of year here. Will squeeze in some gardening probably on Sunday morning while everyone is still sleeping and I get up so bloody early.

I'm going to a party. Don't really want to go but I couldn't refuse either since the person is moving to Italy permanently in a few days.

Well thanks, it’s a great honour to stand here and accept this award. Its something I never really aspired to but it feels so…right. Of course, I’d like to thank my family and friends without whom I’d never be where I am today. Or certainly not where I am going to be later today ;D
