It's impossible to imagine that anyone could pull that off!

When a writer finishes another's work, do they follow the style and idiosyncrasies of the first, or use his/her own style? How much new plot or characters is allowed?

For no particular reason, I somehow thought he was much younger, so this is a bit of a shock.

Aw. I just found out that Joan Acocella died early this January. Anything she wrote, even on subjects that I thought did not interest me, such as dance, was compelling reading because of her insight and superb, restrained style. Acocella had a unique writing style and voice that made her essays stand out. She was known for her fabulous erudition combined with a frankness that was uncommon. Her wit and originality captivated readers and made her essays a joy to read. sourcegreenwichvillagefuneralhome.com/obituary/?ob-id=2788&obit=Joan%20Acocella
