One thing that is interesting about the Pompidou Metz is that it does not have its own permanent collection. Its 3 galleries rotate works from the Pompidou Paris, the Orsay and a number of other museums.

Yes, that's one of the reasons I made sure to put the date in the thread title. Much of what I saw in 2010 may already be rotated out.

Yes, my grandparents' village is about 25km from Metz so it was the local 'big city' to go to.

I know it mostly from the postcards of Metz. There is a wiki about it, but it is only available in French and German.
