I've mentioned several times on this forum how much I love my iPad. I use it constantly, mainly because I've been traveling a lot this summer, and because I also have a very old and slow computer. The only problem I've had was being unable to easily transfer my photos from my camera to my iPad. I've had to wait until I was home, start up my old computer, wait twenty minutes while it boots, wait another five minutes while iTunes loads, hook my camera up to the computer, transfer the photos to a file on the computer, then upload the photos to my iPad.
Today I purchased an iPad connector that allows me to connect my camera or cell directly to my iPad. The iPad Camera Connector Kit cost $29 and came with two connectors. One connects a phone directly to the iPad and the other connects a camera card reader. I don't use a card reader so my daughter and I split the purchase.
I am thrilled with this connector. It cuts out so many extra steps for me, allows me to easily transfer photos while traveling, and is a good bridge until the time I am ready to invest in a new computer.

The iPad camera connection kit has a gimmick into which one can plug the standard SD card which most compact cameras use. That is then automatically downloaded to your photos on the iPad. Go and talk to your dealer who should put you straight.

Right, Mossie, two connectors come in the box. One is for a standard SD card (which I don't use, but my daughter does for her camera), the other connects the camera directly to the iPad. It's just a plug adaptor.
