Trump's comment - in a nutshell - about the "global warming hoax": "Do you mean if I stand in my sealed apartment and use a whole can of hairspray on my hair, that this will affect global warming??? I don't know how much effect there is on greenhouse gases from creosote. My blog | My photos | My video clips"too literate to be spam"

Oooh, and we use a lot of it here - the smell is so powerful it can travel 500 yards. (I'm talking about a creosote pole storage depot). And then there is Chuck... tinyurl.com/z4ha75u

Not laughing anymore. Now it is believed that the Russians interfered to swing the election to Trump. We can only hope the Electoral College picks someone else to be "the leader of the Western world"...

With the world population increasing, desertification of once arable lands, seas temperature rising leading to more cyclones, heat waves and floods, fish stocks decreasing , constant wars leading to population shifts bringing socio-economic upheavals and finally bastardry in all the politicians who are corrupt and the people are powerless against them....I'd say we are Heading to hell in a handbasket.
Shit happens!

And Trump has chosen a climate change skeptic to run the Environment Agency and an Exxon oil executive for Secretary of State. It really looks as though he is doing this on purpose, just to annoy all the professionals, experts and traditional Republicans who didn't support him from the beginning. Obviously he doesn't care at all what the more than half the country who didn't vote for him thinks.

I fear the future for my grandchildren - even my son. Looks like there might be a whole bunch of people looking for desert islands or some place where the mad world is left behind.
I watched the three day court case re: the Brexit thing. It is a long long time since I have heard gentlemen speak in such a decent manner to each other. Yes, they are Barristers and judges but what a wonderful way to conduct your business out in the open.
I think about the disgusting way our parliament is run - some of the members are a despicable bunch of looney tunes who love the sound of their own voices. Disrespect in big words.

I am always amazed at how many fistfights break out in certain parliaments, which of course our media are only too pleased to show each time so that we can all feel superior. Some of the putrid debates are no better even if fisticuffs are avoided.

It's a shame that the United States does not have a Secretary of Culture, because Kanye West would get the job.

We get to see this wonderful stuff on French television. Try to imagine what it is doing to public opinion about the United States.

I have no idea, my French is far too basic to follow that. Is France totally in love with Mr Trump?

No, mossie, I think France is just as horrified by Trump as many other people. The whole tone of the guy who interviewed the Trumpettes and the guy from the TV show makes it obvious what they think of these women (a plastic surgeon's nightmare!) and Trump.
I actually already posted a BBC video of these women some time ago on this thread.

The only thing I caught (I think) is that they agreed with the announcer that they could be described as wealthy women who loved Trump. Kinda says it all.

I'm sure she once had a beautiful face, but suspect that she would look have looked much nicer with a few wrinkles and not the weird fillers they seem to have stuck in it. Did they meet in the cosmetic surgeon's waiting room?
They look like they are in training to be the Duchess of Alba.

Their faces have been very looked after by various methods and I don't criticize them for a little nick and tuck but the realty is they should be wearing gloves to hide the poor OLD hands The one lady seemed to have cheeks as round as a chipmunk's.

Why are all the women in Trump's life blondes, and when did he become so infatuated with Jesus Christ? Choice words near the end of his inaugural speech: "We will be protected by our military. And most importantly, we will be PROTECTED BY GOD!" Sounded almost like he had been watching too many ISIS videos.

Why are all the women in Trump's life blondes, ? I asked myself exactly the same question when I saw them all lined up there. And all the women have to have long hair. I imagine the little dark haired girl in the front will have to dye her hair eventually. An American friend told me today that she had been reading comments on the Washington Post website. Someone had referred to Melania Trump as the Balkan Barbie.

I think Trump is one of those men for whom long hair, preferably blonde, is mandatory in women. Nothing against long hair, or even bleaching it if it looks nice, but it is the MANDATORY requirement that is irksome micromanagement. I don't like 'mandatory' pixie cuts on women over 50 either, though some women (of any age) look splendid with very short hair.
Doesn't he really want a living sex doll?

Some men (and women) are consistently attracted to the same physical types. Sarkozy was married to a brown-haired former fashion model (Cécilia) and then remarried a brown-haired former fashion model (Carla)
