Biden is not above making ridiculously over the top sentimental ads.

Jesus! First I'm gagging over the Biden ad, then hit with the coin thing, which -- tragically, grotesquely -- is not a joke.

I'd pay $100 for a coin that said "Trump didn't make it".

I will not dignify this item by giving a link, but I am amazed how far Fox News will go. Trump and others question Pelosi's mental fitness after she suggested pres. may not be fit for office
It should never be forgotten that although CNN dominates in global viewership (with CNN International, which is not at all the same thing that people see in the United States on CNN-US), Fox News is far ahead in the United States with 2.5 million daily viewers compared to 972,000 for CNN which ranks 3rd behind MSNBC.

I was talking to my sister yesterday and musing about how people get addicted to Fox news. She said that she routinely clicks through to see how Fox is presenting a news story, particularly one that might show Trump in a poor light. What she has learned is that, besides the skewing and lying, Fox has a remarkable ability to just make certain news >>go away<< as though it never happened. This is easy to prove if you know any right-wingish people. Just mention some fact or statistic not in line with the bullshit Republican version -- about covid, for instance -- and you might get a huffy, superior-sounding response like, "Well, I never heard that!" Since I get all of my news from mainstream sources, it's immediately obvious that the person who "never heard that" lives in a Fox news world.

I know who all of them are except for that country music singer and the last two. Idiots, all!
My favorite thing in the article is the lead sentence in the paragraph on that last little freak: After being released from prison ...

That was projected in a survey done last week by the weekly GAMBIT and I brushed it off saying to myself and T., no f'n way! When we heard those numbers announced today I was, and remain in utter disbelief. It did however, take away a sizeable number of votes from you know who. It did the same in some other states as well.

I was, and remain in utter disbelief. The name of his political party makes me laugh and also makes me think he may not be as crazy as we assume.

I tend to agree Bixa. And, just maybe he named his party for my mother whose birthday was on Election Day.

We had a candidate for State Elections change his name by deed poll to "Suzie Cream Cheese Happy Birthday Party". Of course the Press adored him...young clean hippie, long beautiful hair, wicked sense of humour, intelligent and had been following the politics well. When the count finished he had scored more votes than many of the other candidates but alas he had run against a popular minister who scored higher. I guess Mr S.C.C.H.B. Party changed his name back again.

Hee hee You know I am hoping you get the best birthday present ever this year! One can only hope dearheart. And, thank you. Too many birthdays have been ruined by either having the worst POTUS'S either elected on my actual birthday as in the case in 2016 or, elected on November 7th, the day before and awakening to find out really bad news. (Some before I was even of voting age but politically aware).

I'm surprised, given my ambivalence towards Biden, how, um, giddy I'm feeling now knowing Trump is finally if unofficially done and on his way out.

Hawkins, although in my deep blue state it made no difference, nor could it have. If I'd been in a swing state I'd have had to hold my nose and vote for Biden.

Pending its eventual retirement, I saw on the news that Madame Tussaud's in London has dressed Donald Trump in his golfing clothes.
