I always used the microsoft wizard to get my pics & videos loaded to the computer, which also gives the handy option of deleting them from the camera afterward, but that didn't work with this camera.
When I first got this camera, I duly loaded the software that came with it, which is so insultingly crappy that I immediately got rid of it.
Continued frustration. It now must be revealed that this kind of frustration can cause severe hissy fit childish meltdown in me, & thus it was in this case.
In order to get the video I took in La. off the camera, I actually reloaded the putrid gift software long enough to get the video, then got rid of it again.
At that point I was whining about it yet again reporting on the situation to a friend & moaned that I still couldn't delete the videos from the camera. She said, "Can't you just use the delete button on the camera?"
Picture the look on Wiley Coyote's face when once again he realizes he's not nearly as smart as he thought he was. That would be me.
After that bit of humiliation, I threw myself back at the problem, this time actually reading all the options offered by the microsoft wizard when fed a memory card. Oh. One of them is saving videos to RealPlayer. So I did that & it worked. Not only that, but it was easy to drag & drop them onto YouTube for uploading.
So last night I took some killer videos, if I do say so, of a live performance and happily loaded them onto RealPlayer tonight. Well, blankety-blank, blank blank blank BLANK ~~ now the **** videos are stuttering on playback!
Went to various sites to troubleshoot, but could not fix the problem. As I type this I am uploading one of the stuttering videos to YouTube to see what will happen.
What is your disaster? You realize that you have essentially the same camera as Htmb's and mine, don't you? I can't even say ours is a later generation, as it came along so quickly after yours. There are just a few minor differences.
That said, you've had yours a little longer & never had any video problems before. Is this related to the recent visit to the camera hospital?
