Here is how La Belle Province is being sold to us in France at the moment. But frankly, the French don't need much urging to want to go and see Québec if they have never been. This just helps to remind them to finally plan the damned trip, no matter what the season!

Jeez, no wonder people think it's always cold in Canada.

Not a good representation at all! This year we had (what seemed like) an endless summer. Really hot and long. And it's still not all that cold where I am, nor has it snowed either. Won't get any real snow until January.
Going by how many flights come and go daily from Quebec to Paris and vis versa, you'd think most people in France had already been here at least once!

Just looking at that frigging thing makes me cold. In Montréal, there was practically no snow last winter - there was more in several usually almost snow-free European cities, and I don't mean Warsaw or Moscow! It was 12c and sunny today - I worked most of the day but was able to get out for a blissfully mild bicycle ride, and didn't even need my hat or gloves.
The huge skate downhill in Québec City is a professional - and dangerous - event, not somethig tourists can do.
I have been to the far and middle North, but the activities shown bear little relation to the daily lives of friends in the most populated parts of Québec, or how we have fun (except for the "creative" part, which shows Place des Festivals - I work on events that take place there).
And few Northern Indigenous people actually use dog teams any more. Those are used as tourist attractions for Europeans (les cousins français, and Germans who are mad for Native cultures of the Americas).

Hardly any snow here either last winter, lagatta. It was quite a pleasant winter actually.

Well, if you live where I think you live, you aren't very far away.
We are expecting a few flakes early next week, but then a bit of rain. No significant s-n-o-w.
In the city, I hate the stuff. It can be pretty in the countryside, if there isn't too much.
Wanted to add that people I see walking and cycling about are just beaming with joy about the mild weather. Sure, people will make do with the cold, but it is not something people here exult in.

I hate to even mention this, but we may get a bit of wet s.n.o.w. this weekend. It has been balmy all week.
I am NOT happy. Oh, no serious snow like in those clips, but if it is icy I won't ride my bicycle and it takes infinitely longer to run errands and get stuff done.
In reality, those European visitors will meet people at a pub or café and dutifully avoid the cold.

I'm sure that the Québec tourism board is well aware that they are promoting a fantasy vision that most visitors will never actually seek. But when they return from their holidays, they will make it sound to their friends like this is exactly how it all was. (The same goes for many of the idyllic Southeast Asian promotional films.)
