With so many WWII descendants here on AnyPort, you have to wonder if some of our father's might have crossed paths. I'd like to think so. My father was not involved in WWll - I think he may have been too young as he and his brothers had to stay on the farm to help with the workload. However, my uncle(married to my mother's sister- my aunt) was a pharmacist and was in North Africa and Egypt. I don't think he ever went into Europe. My other uncle and my mother's brother was in the Home Guard. I retrieved his tin hat from my mother's garage a few weeks ago.

Though he died in 1993, my father was born 91 years ago today. He had a big personality and persevered through a lot of tough times.
