We celebrated a memorable Thanksgiving at a couple of friends' house in Pátzcuaro. About 26 others attended. I'm too sleepy to write much about it at this moment, but I can show you the pictures. picasaweb.google.com/doncuevas/Thanksgiving2012

I don't think you're entirely sane, but you sure are funny! ;D
Thank you for saving the world from the terrible pumpkin menace.
Fabulous pics of what indeed must have been a memorable & lovely Thanksgiving.

Sorry I'm just getting around to responding to this DC. computer woes.... Ditto what Bixa said and thank you! We here in NOLA tend to veer a bit from the conventional US Thanksgiving I grew up with in NY. Oh, so boring..... You are indeed funny! I like to think that as we get older we not only become wiser but, also have a more brilliant sense of humor!!
P.S. I'm lusting after that stainless steel vessel!!! Want!! Need!!!!

Absolutely fantastic pictures. I could even be convinced to eat turkey under such circumstances!

Wonderful Don! Not only does the food look sensational but I particularly like the tablecloth! It's unusual, bright and just the thing for such a happy occasion

What would be your three choices Kerouac? I think my first pick is Stuffing. Then brown gravy to go over my turkey meat. I love gravy and sauces but love green beans so that would be my third choice - green bean casserole.

I am attracted to mashed potatoes and a side salad. The items from Alaska and Hawaii are probably different from what we are imagining, so I would like to give those a try as well.

Please tell me the mac and cheese on the east coast is not ready-made orange stuff out of a package.

It’s typically made from scratch in the places I frequent (my family members make it from scratch with milk, grated cheese, etc), though I’m guessing some people in the US might use melted Velveeta (the soft, orange, plastic looking stuff).
