NYCs?
My mother told me Saturday that her 84 year old brother and his somewhere-in-that-vintage wife spent the day shoveling their driveway so they could get to church Sunday morning. They live near the beach in Ogonquit Maine, and got close to 3 feet of snow. He'd tried the snowblower, but the wind was too high still, and it kept blowing back.
Some of us would have taken the storm as a good excuse to sleep in on Sunday. Luckily they still had power. We have good work ethic genes on that side of the family.

I was wondering about the NYC's as well. I think they are on holiday no? I'm sure if they were in NYC we can expect a report at some point, intrepid we know them to be. I spoke with friends in NY. Eastern Long Island took a wicked hit, cars stalled out, hundreds of them on the Expressway. Lots of trees down. My brother and his fiance were making their way back from the Yucatan and were delayed getting back to Kennedy airport by 48 hours. They too, reported many trees down as they made their way back out east.
