That is hilarious.
I have Belgian friends who bought a country house in southwestern France for their retirement. Why didn't they just go to neighbouring northern Germany?
What is the sunniest region of Germany? The wine regions of the southwest? Parts of Bavaria?

according to the included map, it seems the southernmost bits of Germany indeed get the most sun. often considered the 'best' climate in terms of sun/temperature is the Upper Rhine Graben (Rhine Rift Valley), i.e. roughly the stretch between Freiburg and Karlsruhe...

The most sun my German Family & Friends get is when they visit me in Phoenix LOL - and they live in the Rhine Valley hahahaha. ;D
