Ohhhh ~ figs! My potted fig tree is doing something very odd. It's always been on the same seasonal schedule as any other fig tree -- resting in winter, bearing a few figs in summer, losing leaves in autumn then regaining them in Spring. This year I got figs in winter, then slowly the leaves turned ugly as usual. But they're mostly not falling off the tree, even though now (late June, early July), the tree is putting out nice new leaves. ~?~ My fig in the backyard in the US I'd left for dead finally showed new growth just a couple of weeks ago. It's never fruited though because it doesn't see enough sun. Doesn't stop it growing like crazy though when the weather gets hot.

One of the best pizzas I ever had was in France and figs were one of the main ingredients. An Italian somewhere just died. 😂😂

In Mississippi, we had two fig trees which I always considered "the big one and the little one." In any case, we did like figs but there were too many of them. I don't eat them anymore. They are something best left in my past.

Fresh yellow fleshed peaches and nectarines are on sale atm...sweet and juicy..I can't get enough of them.
My blueberry bushes are laden (aside from the one burnt in our heatwave) but the birds get to them long before I do...
