Apparently, today is the 7th anniversary of TWITTER. One of the stats I heard on the radio was that 11 new tweet accounts are created every second!!!! I don't get it. I suppose it has it's uses but I have no use for them personally. How about y'all?

I almost never tweet unless I read something that really annoys me, but I have basically opened a Twitter account as a window to an alternate universe -- I only follow users from Ireland and I remain on the Ireland board. And yet I have no connection to Ireland or anything Irish.

When I consult Twitter, this is the sort of extremely weird stuff that I see.

See, it's just that type of IMHO inane kind of thing that I can't wrap my head around. I can see its use for people who work in the media but tweeting that kind of stuff you just posted seems like such a waste of time to me. I'd rather be weeding my garden or read a good book then sit around playing with another technological gadget.

I never use Twitter but I have a faint memory of once making an account.

Gad ~~ I didn't even play the video & it's still worming its way into my brain! I didn't want to play the video because I'm kind of enjoying the earworm I got at the supermarket earlier today. (You Are My Shining Star).
Why was Rockin Robin used in the piece about Twitter -- because the Robin goes tweet tweet tweet?

Here ~~ you can have mine instead:
It's a good one, but it's still not completely erasing the previous one. If I hear "the Berkshires were dreamlike on account of that frosting" in my head one more time, I might snap.
(see how even the earworm thread bleeds over into this one, taking over all intelligent thought as we know it)

Yes, Esther dear. Here, this is surely what you had in mind, & I'm sure the music won't become an earworm:

Statistics about Twitter25% of Twitter users have never tweeted. I heard an analysis about this the other day. It seems that most people join Twitter so they can read tweets, but rarely or never tweet themselves. More women than men by 6%. 81% of users have 50 or fewer followers. 74% of users follow 50 or fewer other people. 70% of users don't have anything in their bio.
Nutrax The plural of anecdote is not data.
