Those of us who love movies wait for some of them more than others -- either because a novel is finally being made into a movie, or there is an interesting remake coming up or just because the director or the star of the movie appeals to us.
So, what are you waiting for at the moment?
I confess that the top movie on my list is Ender's Game, which isn't coming out until November. The novel fascinated me and the special effects that can be expected from the movie should be superb.
Less urgent is the next Hobbit movie. I was not convinced by the first one, but I do want to give the next one a chance. Peter Jackson will have taken all criticisms into consideration by the time it comes out, so I am pretty confident that it will be much better.
Those are the only two that I can think of at the moment, but I am quite sure that I will come up with some more.

Last year it was big news in the Orne that Luc Besson was filming Malavita near Le Sap, Gace and l'Aigle (and also at the new Cite du Cinema) with Robert De Niro, Tommy Lee Jones, and Michelle Pfeiffer. Supposedly a witness protection program hid these Americans in rural France. (How can I get in on this deal?) I'm looking forward to the scenery as much as the plot.
I am excited because The rabbi's cat (Le chat du rabbin) has finally appeared on Netflix's might-actually-become-available list. The trailer I saw on an airplane a few years ago looked delightful.
Netflix is the only way we can see movies. The nearest theater is 30 miles away and their selection isn't interesting to us. I have to try not to get interested in new movies, because there's such a long time lag between the release date and our mailbox date.

Le Chat du Rabbin was a delightful movie, and I even saw it in 3D. However, I'm sure it is also delightful in 2D.

Oh, is that what the current cinema thread is about? I didn't think that a movie that won't be released until November or a movie that has probably not even been filmed yet could be considered "current."

Well, for instance the very first movie mentioned in The Current Cinema was one that at the time had not yet been released in France.
