Burma - former name of Myanmar but I looked up the reason for the names. Both names derive from the same origin - there is the Bamar ethnic group and Myamma was a literary transcription of the name. So there was no real need to change the name except to get rid of the colonial aura. Although Aung San Suu Kyi has lost quite a bit of her international prestige (but are the rest of us really qualified to judge her?), she prefers Burma.
