Terrebonne -- parish (aka county) way down da bayou in the state of Louisiana, USA. It was heavily settled by French colonists from Acadia (modern Nova Scotia), who had been expelled by the British in 1755 during the Seven Years' War. This area is still a center of Cajun culture.

Bonnievale is a settlement in the Cape Winelands District Municipality in the Western Cape province of South Africa.
Was named after the railway siding called Vale at its opening in 1902 and Bonnie Vale in 1917.

kroonstad Despite its name being symbolic of royalty (“Kroon” is Dutch for crown), Kroonstad has very humble beginnings. It was named after Voorktrekker Sarel Cilliers' horse, who drowned in a stream here. During the Boer War, the British built a concentration camp in Kroonstad to house women and children.

eKuPhakameni - is a small town in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa that was set out by one of the largest African Christian sects, the Nazareth Baptist Church. INkosi Isaiah Shembe, who founded the sect in 1911, bought land in the Inanda area for his church and called the town eKuPhakameni (place of spiritual uplift).

Barrydale It's history dates back to the early 18th century when farmers moved into the area looking for fertile arable land with water.
As the farmers in the area were encouraged to plant vineyards and orchards, it was natural that a winery and distillery would eventually be built. Joseph Barry Brandy, produced locally, was voted best brandy in the world in 2003.
