I thought this was an interesting piece of news when so many 'developed' societies are so tormented about gay marriage. (Another big 'anti' demonstation coming up in France on Sunday even though the law has already been voted.) Bravo to South Africa for being one of the pioneers.

They're gonna have another wedding later?!
Very good news as the world slowly catches up to reality. Wish you'd put this in the S.Africa board for more visibility.

Thanks for the news! My mom watches eNews but I'm a SKY fan so missed this report. It is definitely ground breaking event but whether other gay zulu/African men will come out is another matter. Maybe we will see more same sex couples getting hitched and I'm sure their are ladies just waiting to make the eNews! A famous African singer who died from an overdose came out years ago. Her name was Brenda Fassi.

I'm already hoping that this sort of thing will become "old news" in France as quickly as possible. The law here should be able to enter into application before the end of June, and I am cringing at the overdose of news reports that there will be -- first couple, oldest couple, youngest couple, most famous couple, most political couple, most exotic couple and all variations thereof.
When such things are not newsworthy anymore, that's when society will have made real progress.
