The sex trade of Zürich

Sex is a summer subject if ever there was one. Switzerland has always been a completely amazing country in terms of its pragmatism. I went to see my Swiss friends in Zürich back when there was a huge drug problem. They took me to a bridge over the railroad tracks where we could see a sort of drug zoo. There were drug addicts sitting around all over the place and shooting up in full sight. And the bridge we were on was littered with syringes.
This obviously had to stop. In just a few years, Switzerland opened hygenic "shooting galleries" where the addicts could shoot up safely and legalized prescriptions of heroin to addicts who accepted a treatment protocol to get off the stuff. I won't go so far to say as they got rid of the drug addiction problem, but they at least got rid of the appalling conditions, reduced the number of addicts and did not fill the prisons unnecessarily -- all this in an extremely conservative Calvinist country.
Now Zürich is working on prositution the same way. I don't know about the rest of the world, but on the continent, independent prostitutes often work in a van that they own. This would normally be considered a discreet way to work and not as annoying as streetwalkers. But these ladies tend to group their vans together for both protection and to increase the commercial attraction. They end up on residential streets which used to be quiet and which become a big problem, industrial zones which can still be dangerous, or in the middle of the woods, which is not very practical, either for them or for their customers.
Therefore, at the end of the month, Zürich is inaugurating the first sexbox centre.
Looks like a good idea to me, since it has been proven again and again that nobody will ever manage to eliminate prostitution or the need for it.

They will be able to park their vans here.
Pictograms will help to direct the customers.
It is extremely well organised.
The rules are quite clear as well.
Like any modern workplace, there is a lounge for the workers to take a break.
