Wonderful report, Mich. I've always heard Scotland is beautiful; so true, and this gives me my best ever look at it.
So fun to peek inside Brittania. (And speaking of queens, thanks for reminder about poor dear Mary of Scots and Holyrood.)
I also had to wonder how they dealt with heart attacks as we climbed the 311 or whatever it is steps up the Monument in London. Or other varieties of scaredy-cat-ness.

Thank you for viewing my thread Lola! I have been trying to get more of my photos onto my photo bucket account but I must be doing something wrong, I will keep trying to resolve this as I have many more photos I would like to add.
Scotland is a beautiful place. I have told a few people that once we could see the land unfolding on our approach, the landscape looked like velvet with beautiful hues of mauve, greens and browns.
Cheers!

Apologies Mich for getting here so late.
Really interesting report Mich. I had not realised that Edinburgh was home to the Britannia, kind of fitting really.Your photos are all so good but I especially like those of Arthur's Seat and the tenements. So glad the weather was good for your visit.

I only just saw this thread, mich.
And wow, what wonderful photos. Scotland is a place I'd like to see, I've read so much about it. How was the weather while you were there? The buildings and architecture are truly amazing.
