I'm visiting my younger daughter for 10 days in London before her spring break, having promised to stay out of her hair as needed. She's had a very fun first week, but when I planned my trip she promised not to regret spending spring break with her old Ma.
We fly EasyJet to Seville for six days. We'll have an airbnb.com apartment in Triana, across the river from the main tourist area. I'm thinking of taking the train to Cádiz for a day, to be near the sea, and possibly another bus day trip to Ronda. I'm not interested in old churches or palaces nearly as much as natural beauty and current culture, and just hanging out. With any luck we'll have sunshine for a day or two.
Any if you spent much time around there? Maybe day trip thoughts?
My Spanish brush-up is creeping along. I'm fine with the written word, and am counting on filling in a lot with gestures and an appearance of good will.

Oh no ~~ far, far better to take along a skilled interpreter!

Sounds like a great combination of cities for your visit, Lola!

Seville with college student daughter over her spring break was so fine. I've been holding off on a trip report thinking that she would eventually put things up on a photo sharing site. She's still in London, has lots of papers coming up for the end of semester, so I bet it's not going to happen soon. I'll start describing in mere words until she gets back and we can commandeer her camera.
