What? You can’t possibly be that age now Kimby.

Sport figures a lot in my dreams so I can’t be too old. Nevertheless it doesn’t mean I can actually hit or kick a ball. The other night my leg point blank refused to work.
Many dreams are work related but mostly companies from 20 or 30 years ago or longer so my 30’s.

Thanks, Mick. I like to think I’m a “young old”. Or is it “old young”?
But I did enter my 8th decade last month!

I counted both of you.
My count, was four anyport women and three anyport men in this "exclusive family". But I know that's not right, as I thought of two more women who probably fit the criteria, so 6 women and 3 men -- at least

Not hardly! In anyport, we are more like the middle-aged.
You and I were born the same year & I don't think of myself as old, so neither should you.

I don't remember what my dream was about but I do recall hearing the music from The Snowman...in particular the jaunty tune that the snowmen dance to in the cartoon. Most odd. Can't get it out of my head !

I was back in my never-before-seen office again last night. I was supposed to take colleagues to some sort of event, no idea what, and called the lift to take me up to the office. When it arrived, the inevitable Jacqueline popped out, refused to join the group and ran off. Since I recently mentioned seeing her in almost every office dream, I wondered if this was some sort of contractual obligation even if there was no reason for her to be there. The lift took me to the proper floor, and there were six colleagues -- four of whom I had never seen before -- sitting around a rectangualar table playing poker. It looked like it was going to be an annoying ordeal to get them to abandon the game and move, so the dream ended.

Ricky made a rare appearance in my dreams last night, in fact she starred in one!
We were in a building with a fireman’s pole to descend from the 4th floor to ground level. No one else was brave enough to try but Ricky was game, grabbing the pole and disappearing down the chute.
A while later she rejoined us (not sure who “us” was, besides me), and was carrying a really striking jacket in a shimmery fabric of black and burgundy. She said, patting her breast pocket, “Your real gift is in here and the zipper is stuck, so I got you this instead.”
Not sure how to (or whether to) interpret this dream, but I sure loved interacting with her again.

Part of my dream last night has stayed with me all day and I can still remember it now. That is quite unusual for me , as usually for most dreams I may have a fleeting memory when I wake but then its gone within minutes. Its clear to me what it was all about ...maybe that is why ? I am not sure what to think now - do I address it head on or just accept my brain is just processing crap stuff. ?

I had a wild goose chase airport drama. I was taking my parents somewhere and couldn't get them to leave the house on time (something that would have never happened in real life since they were the type to be three hours early). We ended up in some huge 1970s building which was not at all the airport but which was apparently the corporate headquarters of Proctor & Gamble (why on earth???). Nobody paid attentionn to us. Finally got out of there and made it to the airport, which was on the same road but which was some suburban Los Angeles airport (not LAX!) and it was now only 5 minutes before the flight, so I knew we had blown it. The airport just looked like a big empty bus station with only a few gates and our missed flight was about the only flight of the day operating out of it. That pissed me off so I ended the dream.

That I suspect is one of those frustrating dreams that circle on Last nights dream was so bizarre Someone ( I don't know who ) was cooking a Sunday roast and I asked if I could help . They gave me a cauliflower and asked me to make some steaks. Over and over again I tried but all I could get were florets and huge amounts of green leaves which I kept peeling away from the cauli heart. The green leaves just kept coming and I continued to stuff all the leaves into a black bin bag. Weird .

I just realized what a great dream log this thread is, so I went back through it and copied and pasted all my dreams into a Notes file on my phone. I wanted to be sure not to lose them if something should happen to Any Port…

I dreamt of a place that I’m sure I have dreamt of before.
It is a lower level/basement room, about the size and shape of a mechanical room, that is accessed by going through not one, but two doors, then by stooping and crawling under a thick wall of insulation-like material.
I’m not sure what is inside this room, though it wasn’t totally dark, but I couldn’t get out of there fast enough, then I woke up and lay awake seized by claustrophobia.
What can it mean? And why do I keep going back there?

My brain has invented at least a dozen places where my dreams sometimes take place. And sometimes the places have been abandoned as the years go by. One of the earliest ones that I remember was in my childhood home which contained a secret staircase to an attic room that was filled wall to wall with televisions. It was always very warm due to all of the televisions being turned on.

I had nightmare in which I went back about 70 years serving in the RAF in Egypt and was doing our worst duty. That was being guard commander with some 40 19-20 year old conscripts who had a loaded rifle. Most of them were scared of handling it and on changing shifts every 2 hours the gun had to be unloaded. It was not unusual for a round to be accidentally discharged. Luckily for me I had learned the trick of putting my thumb in the breech when the rifle was held in the ports arms position, i.e. at 45 decrees across the body when th bolt is pulled back and the breech open. Then one would get a brass reflection if a round was still loaded and get the offender to work the bolt fully so as to eject the round safely. Hopoe this makes sense to those not familiar with the old Lee Enfield rifle
