This is fascinating. I think I will leave this post up, at least temporarily. But you will certainly understand why your account is being deleted. It's all part of the conspiracy.

I've only ever heard rumours about this happening. Glad to see that b189187 has first-hand knowledge. Excellent work!

Stupid me, I thought I had arthritis.
(Friends, while I do have arthritis, I don't really have severe pain, and don't want to downplay the suffering of those who do).

Wait, wait Kerouac! This morning I had to ease my loose butt into my tire. Don't take this down until I find an unshady rat to help me.

I don't know, I think Sara E from TA has drifted over our way.

I just reread the whole post and tears of laughter are running down my face. Is that one of the symptoms?

Thank you for leaving this up. I've wasted hours deleting spam posts so can relate to the impulse to just scrub it away but seldom seen such classic nutbaggery. This is, as they say, pure comedy gold.

Do we have to wait for severe pain to start bitching and complaining? Would moderate pain do?
How about itching?
I was going to post about the lizards from outer space, but they guy who believes in them is a neo-Nazi, so no.

Y'all cut it out! No "Like" button for me to click on your posts. LaGatta, trust me ~~ just as a general rule, it's okay to bitch & complain just because you feel like it. Think of it as an art form. Gotta go. There's a new friend at the door & I have to tell him he can't sleep over. It's a shame, too, as the slirping sounds he makes with his mouth kinda turn me on.

May I introduce the answer to this? Surely you have heard about wearing a tin-foil hat to repel all the messages the governments are beaming into us. This is my model, a folding pith helmet. Thinking is so much clearer when I wear it...not so much static.

Very good thinking, Questa. We all need one of those.
Actually, I have recently heard you should be wary at border crossings since there are several devious tactics used for attaching tracking devices to your body. For instance, patting down an unsuspecting person's abdomen or backside is a diversionary tactic employed when quickly inserting a tiny device into a target's wrist. A condition and feeling of a "sprain" is very likely to be shrugged off by the subject with the attitude that "I'm just not that young anymore and had no business trying the same tricks as those who were less than half my age." Another method used by those untrustworthy people is to pull the least likely person out of an airport security line, and swab them down with invisible, non-removable teeny, tiny electrodes that will emit a signal from either side of the border. The good thing about this method is that, if you can figure out how to harness the energy, you can enable free wifi for anyplace, anytime, and could even charge your friends and neighbors to use the service, thus supporting habits related to seed germination and digging in the soil.

For the past month, the new "member" has been joining forums all over the web and posting exactly the same message. This must be some deeply disturbed person, or a truly inspired viral marketing campaign. For what, I don't know.

Ok, back to the finger. Not that I'm literate, but I AM pedantic. It's the whole right hand I need to remove, not just my poor middle finger.
I can only assume it's someone who is deeply disturbed, and, of course, none of this would be seen as humorous by them.

Since you have already shown us your knitting skills, perhaps we can find some aluminium yarn.

Not everyone looks good in aluminum. Though I would imagine it is quite flattering on Questa, I find it contrasts with my skin color and makes me look a bit jaundiced. Please let me know if anyone has other suggestions.

I knew you'd have a solution, Questa! I do believe the purple will work out the best for me, though I could do without the gold. Are those colors combined or separate? Please let me know if black becomes available since that's what I wear the most.

That's a great idea, Questa! I could find and frame a photo of southern Louisiana to remind Bixa of one of her favorite television series, True Detective.
Hmmm.....maybe not. She'd never get any sleep.
I know, I'd add a roomba to the basket so the dogs can take turns riding around the house while it vacuums up.

that would be funny...I've seen videos of pets on roombas. Usually ends with collapse of pets' dignity. and, Hey! give her that picture...we all can have our dreams...later

Much easier to knit...would be heavy and stretchy though. We seem to have a bit of thread drift, haven't we?
