I especially like the photo in #118 - just the little bit of red coloring makes it extra special - along with the unusual picture of Gare de l'Est.

These are beautifully captured scenes. I love the touches of muted color.

I echo that. You really have such a feel for the perfect treatment of these photos. They are so affectionately rendered.

I find viewing them to be very peaceful. I have always thought they'd make a beautiful coffee table type book.

If you had urban sound effects to go with the photos, you would find it all much less peaceful.

We have booked our September vacation and the decision was Dublin/Galway in Ireland and I am excited about it BUT when I see photos like these, it makes me want to cancel my plans! Beautiful photos Kerouac.

Kerouac, could you please identify the passages for us?

Those first 5 photos are all from Passage des Panoramas.

Nice you could get inside to avoid some of the urban sounds. I cannot remember if I've been inside the Passage des Panoramas.

Recently I've seen notices that it's time to sign up to climb the Tour Saint-Jacques.

I'd have said you'd already completely mastered this technique/genre/thread -- whatever you want to call it -- but it keeps getting better & better!

I assume a certain number of visitors to this thread are mostly interested because it's about Paris. It's certainly lovely and illuminating on that level, but also a complete knock-out photographically. Just to randomly pick out a couple from this latest batch: the woman in stripes mirroring the horizontal slats in the roll-down doors behind her & the arches of the metro exit duplicated in the windows above -- perfection! And that last one -- a jolt to the momentarily confused eye and a brilliantly captured moment. Go enter that in a photographic competition right now!

I did notice the stripe convergence as well after I saw the photo on a screen. You just never know who is going to pop out of the metro as you snap a picture.

Semi-famous photographer of NYC street life Saul Leiter once said that his ratio of photos taken to worthy photos gotten was something like 1000-1. Doing so today in the age of digital photography is more practical than ever. Just keep pressing that little button and good things will come.

More amazing photographs and scenery. I wish I could go for a stroll in all of these places, especially that foliage-covered cobblestone lane in #134.
That last one is startling. For a split second, I thought it was a crazy young woman dressed as a zombie. (We get that type a lot here.)

I really like your photos with a dash of colour, like the little red Fiat, as well as the guy outside the restaurant.

I joined this site some time ago, but have just come back to it properly. I have spent a lot of time browsing the Paris board in the last week, but this has to be my favourite thread. What stunning photos. Thanks kerouac2.
