As much as I dislike pigeons, I like your (Les Halles?) photos very much.

Sometimes it seems as though Paris has only 4 kinds of birds: pigeons, gulls, sparrows and starlings. So I was surprised to see something different for once.

Those long tails are fascinating, Todd. This morning when I pulled into the parking lot at work this little bird tried to get into my car. It flitted from window to window for about five minutes. It was really fast, but I managed to get a photo before it finally flew away. I'm guessing it's a very young warbler.

Nice waterfowl, Kerouac!
Tod, that glossy black bird in all that bright green foliage is just wonderful.
Htmb, you've gotten so good at bird portraits that they're beating down the door to pose for you. Pajarito wants a portfolio!

Indeed htmb! We have had a few of them around this winter. They are doing some damage to a few trees that we will now have to keep watch on. I had to take this photo from inside my house, it was on the tree not 10 feet off the deck, but I was afraid if I opened the patio doors it would have taken flight.

Fabulous is the word. This filled my screen and startled me, it's so fresh looking.
Though I have to disagree with you, bixa. I think the bird sees htmb and is putting its claws down--My leaf! Get your own!
