It's already 2015 in the farthest "east" time zones, as the eastern regions of Australia are counting down... So I hope you are safe and well as your part of the world enters 2015. www.bbc.com/news/world-30640656

Thank you Lagatta and yes, a Happy, Joyous and safe, prosperous New Year to everyone. It's been a pleasure getting to know many of you, and a continued pleasure in continuing to know those of us who have been on here together for many years. A special note of thanks to Bixa and Kerouac for their steadfast continuance in keeping this forum alive. A very special group of folks indeed.

Thanks, Casimira. You can also thank my mother for keeping me glued to the internet rather than having a life that would allow me to go farther astray.

Happy New Year, all! I'm in the cabin staying warm, with limited internet, but I hope you all have a good time and I'll check in later.

Can you imagine how lucky you are to have a cabin even with "limited" internet? Charlie Chaplin was not so lucky in The Gold Rush.

Can you imagine how lucky you are to have a cabin even with "limited" internet? Charlie Chaplin was not so lucky in The Gold Rush. But he had dancing potatoes, didn't he? Yes, I'm pretty lucky. We were in bed by midnight after finishing season 5 of Downton Abbey.

Happy New Year to you all! We had a fun night with family and friends playing games and actually missed the clock turning past midnight! My husband had put the television on a New Year's Eve special to watch the ball drop in NYC but he accidently selected a station from the west coast! It will be a memorable New Year's Eve anyway!
Thank you to Bixa and Kerouac for bringing us all together and creating a place to learn, share and form friendships with people from all over our world.
Wishing everyone good health, happy travels and joy for 2015.

Happy New Year everyone!
We celebrated the new year last night, but we're having another Christmas today for additional family members who weren't here a week ago.
