My wife and I had traveled to NYC a few years back, but wanted to return in autumn for some Fall colors and to see some sights we missed the first time around. The weather was magnificent, and we visited a museum that ncorporates pieces from five medieval French cloisters and other monastic sites located throughout southern France. We stopped by a home where George Washington and lots of other American Founding Fathers hung out for a while, had an incredible morning in Central Park, saw the famed Lady In Gold painting, and spent way too much money on f=dinner and martinis (especially martinis). Enjoy. I'm half-way through the report with lots of photos. Two more days to come in the next week. travelswithmaitaitom.com/new-york-city-2015/

It looks like the weather was excellent when you were there. My last trip to New York was during an icy January and I swore that I would never return when it is cold.
I hope you checked out the other excellent report on the Cloisters in the New York section of Anyport.

By the end of Day Three, Tracy was seriously considering divorce (I think she has lawyers on speed dial now). It had started with a visit to the 9/11 Memorial Museum, then we checked out the old church where George Washington prayed after his first inauguration, took a terrific tour of the Woolworth Building and also visited another historical NYC house. Unfortunately things went steadily downhill from there as my subway “skills” became seriously impaired. In a “comedy” of errors, our short subway ride back to our hotel became…well, you have to read it, as it pains me to write it again. travelswithmaitaitom.com/21077-2/

Anyway, it would probably be nice to have a bit more text before moving directly on to a link.
