My 'Leave' voting sister is saying 'Nothing has changed' and that it's all been a fuss about nothing. However...her husband is a farmer and he will be losing his annual EU subsidy. It's going to be phased out gradually but by a significant amount over a couple of years. Most UK farmers need the subsidy to keep going and the UK government isn't going to pick up the slack. My sister is up in arms.
Surely most people who wanted Brexit must not have thought through the ramifications. It's tempting to say it serves them right, but their votes are harming the whole other half of the country who voted intelligently.

My BiL (the farmer) voted Remain
I think that my sister thought that Nigel Farage would personally pay the subsidies...I also think that a lot of the leave voters think that the '£360 million' GB was 'paying the EU' (ffs...what were they THINKING?) would suddenly become available. Do I sound bitter? Sorry (not sorry)
If I have understood the news reports correctly, it is looking like the final separation scheduled for December 2020 is likely to be delayed again. It is unimaginable that all of the plans for Brexit could have gone any more wrong.
