Running out of superlatives, but ★★★★★ on that face-on alligator picture!

Since they clearly mow the grass along the waterfront, I wonder if the sound of the mower drives away the alligators or if the mower has to wait until they move on.

We were pretty sure we could put enough room between us and the gators, but decided to let this jogger run by first to see if they'd react. That's kind of cold! Would you have tried to save him if the gators had attacked?

I'm sure the sound and movement of a mower coming into an area would drive the alligators away, but I'll ask my ranger friend, Kerouac. Bixa, don't you think it might have made for an interesting photo opportunity? Wrapping this up, here are the last few photos from our morning.

You are right ~ anything for a photo-op! I neglected to say how great this latest bunch of photos are. I absolute love the one of the alligator bisecting the space between land and sky. And the closeup of the three birds in the dead tree is beyond fabulous. You have this magic ability to make the human wielding the camera disappear so that, when looking at your pictures, it feels as though the viewer is right there, invisibly peering as the creatures go about their natural business.

Great photo of the Ibis's and Heron perched on that dead tree. It's nice when birds give you a good photo opportunity!

Thank you all very much for your kind comments.
If I could have just gotten that heron to turn his head in my direction!
