How to post your Flickr-hosted photos on anyport 1. In your Flickr Photostream or in one of your Flickr albums, click on the photo you wish to post. 2. When it opens, click on the down-pointing arrow in the far bottom right of the page. 3. Choose "View all sizes" from that pop-up menu. 4. When the new page opens, a selection of sizes will appear above the picture. Click on the size you want. 5. Now right-click on the picture and choose "Copy Image Location" / "Copy image address" / whatever wording your browser uses. 6. Click on the Image button (the icons over the message box). 7. In the box that pops up, paste the copied url in the slot marked "Image URL" (the top one of the two slots). Note: see Reply #3 below.8. Now click on "Insert image" at the bottom right of the pop-up box.

If you want to somewhat streamline your thread-making with Flickr pictures, here is what I do ~
Follow directions 1 through 4 above.
Repeat with each picture you plan to put into the thread.
Depending on your browser's speed, you should be able to have at least six pictures ready to go in your tab bar.
Now you can put those pictures in your post by following directions 5 through 8 for each picture in sequence.

Really struggled to get this up loaded but then discovered that when I click and get the image box No 7 in Bixa's instructions the photo will only post if I remove the hhtp part ie remove all text prior to pasting the link. Has anyone else found this or am I missing something ?

Lugg -- you are right. I have no idea why that idiotic box has to pop up with the "http" already in it, as of course it must be removed in order for the url to be viable. As Lugg points out, either delete or paste over the blue letters in the Image box:

Important announcement: for those of you who have not visited your Flickr account in a while, you need to go open it up. When you do, you'll get an advisory about Flickr changing its policy on free accounts. From the Wikipedia entry on Flickr: Flickr has always offered two types of accounts: Free and Pro. Until January 7, 2019, free accounts have up to 1 TB of storage. On January 8, 2019 the account offerings will change.. The free option will be limited to 1000 photos or videos stored, with videos limited to 3 minutes. The Pro option will feature "unlimited" storage, advanced statistics, advertising-free browsing, videos up to 10 minutes in length, "premier" customer service, and promotional offers with other partners. After January 8, 2019, members over the limit will no longer be able to upload new photos to Flickr. On February 5, 2019, a free account's older content will be deleted automatically if it contains more than 1,000 photos and they do not subscribe to Pro, with the exception of content that was already uploaded with a Creative Commons license before November 1, 2018.This doesn't make me happy, but it's a shoe I've been expecting to drop for some time now, so I was prepared to pay the ransom. I have to say, it was a big relief to find out what the charge would be, especially since they offered a discount for the first year of a Pro account. I paid $35 usd, which will be $50 usd when it renews a year from now. Be aware that the discounted price is only available until November 30. What can we do, other than pay? I have over 6.000 photo's on Flickr. PS Thanks Bixa. I don't visit the site very often, so I wouldn't have known about the temporary discount.

Too true, Amboseli!
I tried saving the page from Flickr with the advisory so I could share it here, but after I paid it defaulted to a different page telling me how wonderful my life will be now that I've given them money.

I didn't even get the page with the discount. I had to use a different browser to get that message! So, thanks again. You saved me 15$. 🙏
