You certainly took advantage of riding shotgun to get some excellent road pictures, but I am also very impressed by all of your photos of Les Baux, as well as many others. The flag waving action of the football fans was perfectly captured.

Thank you, Kerouac. I appreciate your comments. I'm happy with the pictures I took through the car window. I just wish I'd taken more. When riding in the car, I've learned to snap photos to take my mind off of curves, hills, mountains, gorges, etc. Oddly enough, looking through a camera lens helps me decrease feelings of vertigo and accompanying anxiety. So, even though you are a more than excellent driver, I was actually doing you and Bixa a favor by documenting our road trip through the windshield.

What a ride! This was wonderful, Htmb -- not only the excellent photos, but the fact that it's such a beautifully organized chronicle. To echo what you said to me in one of my threads about this trip, "Wow, ... !!!! I knew you were snapping away happily, but you really captured the place!" In this case, places. Well done ~ brava!

Full marks for scaling that hill.
I remember being particularly being struck by Gordes. We were told that such places were called "villages perches" because they were perched on easily defensible crags.
