I suppose it's only worthwhile to go to those outlet malls if you need several things -- otherwise the cost of car rental, tolls and gasoline would negate any savings, wouldn't it?
There is a place like that about 20 km south of Toulouse. It opened a few years ago but I have never been there.

I had to smile at a shop called London Jewelry. If they want to pretend to be British, they could at least spell "jewellery" the correct English way.

S saved several hundred dollars, plus the zip car rental was a birthday gift from me. Because it was Columbus Day weekend there were also special sales. S bought a purse - a moderately expensive, favorite brand of hers - for 80% less than it would have cost her in the city. There were crowds, but I saw many family groups and lots of people seeming to have a good time. Lines were long, but sales associates appeared to be organized and it didn't take too long to pay for our purchases.

Sorry. Could be But having had spelling rammed into me at school, what I consider wrong stands out, and jewellery is one that particularly jars.

Oh, you Brits with all your extra letters. You know what an undisciplined lot we are over here.
