This very short “report” should probably be posted in post cards as there is very little info within, certainly it is more a collection of photos . However I have posted it here because I believe that there is no other info about Westonbirt , the English National Arboretum on AP. Of course it is not a garden as such either.

Anyway in terms of trees this is a very significant place indeed for trees , both historically and today

I really had not expected it to be so busy, and that there would be so many dogs. But it seems that huge numbers had chosen to visit for the same reasons that I did, and, like me were accompanied by their pooches. My photos do not show the crowds , as we mostly tried to escape them by going off the beaten track
We barely covered a quarter of what there is to explore and of course having the dogs with us meant that part was off limits completely. It also meant that I only took a small number of photos and many have been discarded; holding Zeb’s lead led to a certain blurring ! I also failed to take any on the treetop walkway as I had to concentrate on coaxing Zeb over it. He really did not enjoy the experience . Anyway it is a dog friendly place and well behaved dogs, as long as they are accompanied by well-behaved owners, can run free in large areas of the arboretum.
Not all Autumn colours are reds ,
But maybe those that we enjoy most often are;
"All treed out" now ? I guess that those who have stuck with it so far certainly must be . So until my next visit - maybe in Spring.
