What a difference, as you seemed to be catapulted forward in time after the antique charm and beauty of your trip. I love all your water pictures and of course the landscape and flower ones too. Can we assume from the name of the hotel in Figeac that people once "took the waters" there? Another question: what were your favorite things from the trip? patricklondon, you have a beautiful, well-modulated voice -- it's a pleasure to hear you read.

Yes, any place with bains in the name is or was a spa.
I would be really hard pressed to decide on any favourite things in the trip -- what I like is all of the variety of things to see. It rarely occurs to me that one is better than another. The main thing that comes to mind, being a city addict, is how quickly I would become bored if I stayed in any one place. I need hustle and bustle in my life.
