Siervas, from Peru, but with members from several countries.
A spot of contemporary Catho-pop.

We musnt't forget the nun who won The Voice in Italy in 2014.
The following year she sang this surprising song on Dancing With the Stars in France.

Soeur Sourire will have to go on the "lesbians who committed suicide" thread.

I thought that's who was being referred to. I loved that song when I was young....I suppose all "good" Catholic girls did. I did not know about her personal life and tragic ending.

I learned about her sad story later on.
She also had such a beautiful voice. I enjoyed Siervas - of course it is Catho-pop. There is a wee bit too much magical resolution in the second song - the other little boy who looks too poor to afford the toys he is eyeing in the glittering shopping mall. But it is also about the first little boy growing up a bit and understanding the importance of compassion and helping others.

If I am not mistaken she was kicked out by the nuns who kept the income from her songs. Charité bien ordonnée...

I even saw the movie about her starring Cécile de France.
