That is so depressing that I almost didn't look at it. Not because I don't care about people in Somalia; on the contrary; I know Somalian people - you probably know about Italy's latecomer colonialism in that part of the world and Mussolini's "victories" over scarcely-armed forces in East Africa. But I don't know what on earth "we" can do about it except pressure Western powers to stop adding airstrikes to all the other horrors going on there.

With all of the new Somali tea rooms in my neighbourhood, which seem to be packed, I can only imagine the conversations they are having, and what happened is probably being used as total validation for the reason they fled their homeland.

How happy they must feel to be able to live and prepare their traditional food in complete peace. I'm sure most have left family behind which must be heart wrenching.
