Great idea Cheery I have copied what I wrote on your Tatton thread. Enjoyed seeing more of your Moorcroft pics.
I love Moorcroft pottery and have a few pieces some that I bought from the factory shop ( which is a joy if you have never been; well worth a visit) and some inherited from my Mum who adored it. I have not seen any of there modern pieces until your photos but it is so instantly recognisable whether pieces were designed in the 1890s or today . I really like the puffin plaque in particular

When my Dad passed away I had his dinner service. I used to love it. It has sentimental value of course...but it's very tired. Even before I got hold of it all the breakfast bowls, a serving dish, 2 salad plates and 3 pasta bowls had gone! I still love the serving dishes and the huge platter...but I'm thinking of putting it all into storage whilst we still have an almost complete set. This is why I needed some pasta bowls andd I saw these Denby 'Halo' ones....I love them...and I'm sorely tempted to get more....

Those are nice pasta bowls Cheery!
I have a small teapot collection. I could add so many more but I am trying not to collect more stuff. It is hard to pass them by though.

I've been bad. I collect items designed by the artist Govinder Nazran. I have a few of his limited edition pots and 'sculptures' and a book. Sadly Govinder died in 2008 in a freak accident. For a while things were still available but basically everything was snapped up. Anyway...I was trawling the internet trying to see how much my pieces are worth now and found some other pieces available. I sent for this one 'Jughead' it isnt a limited edition piece and is unusually drab for a Govinder but I couldnt resist it. The same outlet advertised another item for a knockdown price...which I also sent for. 'Only you' Imagine my delight when it turned out that this is a limited edition piece (with certificate)..I am thrilled to bits with it, the colours are more 'Govinder-ish' than the cat...and I've sent for it's partner...(its just as lovely...just different patterns on the 'robe') Jeff wasn't too sniffy as hes treated himself to 2 new keyboards this year...also the cost of these ornaments is so reasonable. I'm thrilled to bits...

Rubbish photo of some of my other Govinder Nazran pieces.... Scratch and Sniff on the left (artist's proof 1 of 50) , vase in the middle 'Bill and Ben' and on the right 'Everard' my pride and joy (1 of 300).

Very nifty thread, Cheery. Did you wind up getting the Denby bowls? They're gorgeous. I never knew about Govinder Nazran, which doesn't mean much because there are so many things I don't know about. They're really lovely and fun besides! I love how much he varied his style. All of your pieces are great, but I particularly love the middle vase in the last picture. Generally I don't set out to collect a particular type of item but wound up with something of a collection of ceramics by a lovely and very talented woman named Aidé Ramirez Cedillo. Her specialty is barro bruñido -- burnished clay. She burnishes her ceramics with a piece of agate and, as far as I knew, each of her pieces is unique.

Oooooooh they are gorgeous Bixa. I really love them, especially the blue bowls...
I love beautiful things, but I live with a man who hates clutter. I have a lots of things in the loft ...I will have to rationalise my ridiculous amount of STUFF at some point...but what I really need is a bigger house....
I did buy the bowls. I am now dithering about getting the rest o the set...

Commenting a year late on your gorgeous pieces, Cheery. I love how the style is somewhat Nouveau, somewhat 1920s, but altogether singular, lively, & so pretty. I finally visited ARIPO on Friday, the first time I've been inside since its big renovation. The building is worth seeing for its beauty alone, but I was thrilled to see the work of Aidé Ramirez, whose pieces I showed earlier in this thread. Those things I bought directly from her, but since there have been no big expositions since the pandemic, I have not seen her. I fell in love with a vase & inquired how much of the purchase price the artisan gets. It's 90%, so I felt okay buying the piece. Unfortunately, these are phone pictures, so the detail at the top of the vase is blurry. Anyway, here is my gorgeous new vase, which I love more each time I gaze upon it. Below the pictures is a link to a video of Aidé at work ~

I am a sucker for art pottery. I was able to salvage most all of my pieces. There are so many posted here that I could easily be lured into acquiring. (pic #6 of Cheery's vases with the botanical motifs, the blue one in particular) However, like Mich, I am trying to not fall back into collecting too much "stuff". I believe I would not hesitate to purchase #2 in your set of pics Bixa. I have always loved pottery that has a burnished technique incorporated.

I have not been here for a while but I love this thread -your choices are perfect for me ...Bixa and Cheery. All just lovely but I am well jealous of the pot posted above and below this
"The interior of this large piece is much more subtle than it came out in the photo, and much bluer "

Casimira, I wish the colors came out truer when photographed. The new piece is quite Newcomb-ish in its coloration.
Thanks so much, Lugg. That big piece was the first one I acquired from this artist & I still love it. Every woman needs something resembling a Victorian baby bathtub in her pocket-handkerchief sized living room, right?

I just love Cheery's ladies! You definitely did the right thing in getting a pair. I think it adds to their value. Bixa - your collection is super. Are your dogs allowed anywhere near all those pieces?? I would hate to think a waggy tail might sweep one off it's display position!

Ha ha, Tod ~ my dogs are shrimps! Even in maximum wag their tales don't reach high enough to swipe anything off even the coffee table.

We had a cat who was fascinated with water filled vases. She would eye ball me putting flowers in a huge beautiful aqua McCoy vase with a bamboo motif. Right before I left the house I had a sneaking suspicion that she would knock it over but then thought it was too heavy for her to do so. How wrong I was and it infuriates me to this day that I didn't follow my instinct. When I returned home there it was, smashed shards on the floor with white irises strewn about. There she sat with a smug and triumphant look on her face.

And at the same time I have seen lots of YouTube videos showing cats and dogs facing unusual obstacles, usually placed for the purpose of the video in a corridor or similar place where they generally walk unhindered. The YouTubers tend to make videos where they make the obstacles increasingly complicated.
The cats make remarkable efforts not to touch anything although they ultimately fail. The dogs make a symbolic effort but are quick to knock over everything. I guess dogs are stupid, or else they understand that it is a fake test and that their family loves them.

We had a request for accommodation for a long period - 2 months - but the issue was they had two Sheep dogs and a cat. My Staffie would have made mince-meat our of the cat for sure and the dogs would have to be muzzled so not to bark under the neighbors window. So sorry but sheep dogs are super hyper active always looking for something to herd. My Staffie , Patch would have eaten the cat for breakfast.
