Delightful. Even though the full sized photo is available by clicking on it, I hope that you will use www.postimg.cc or a similar site to host your photos and make it easier for everyone to view them. Do not hesitate to ask for tips about this. All of us have needed to learn what to do.
Edit: oh, I see that you are hosted at Postimg. Just choose a size when you upload the photos. I usually use 800; Bixa uses 1024. It's up to you.

After Buenos Aires we flew to El Calafate, a small (and fast expanding) city down in the south. Nice place, great hotel (I hardly ever take pics of hotels) - you can look it on booking.com : hotel alto Patagonia.
Some pics of the region : url=https://postimg.org/image/tl5hbd6xb/] [/url] But El Calafate served as a base for excurssion : we saw whales (no pics, I missed them...) so here we went on lake Argentina... [/p]

Then going to Salta (we didn't like the city so much) where we went on a southern and northern loop.
Quite desertic..
The donkey invited himself for lunch. He ended up eating half our bread...
Every small village (there aren't so many) have a 'colonial church'
Roads ? sometimes dirt tracks, fortunately in good state of repair and not so much circulation.
Gorgeous ... looks a bit like west US though.
For Mick : we did see cacti... for several dozens of miles.
I think we had an icecream (not me mind you) at that place. I think it is Cafayate (pronouce Kafachatté).

Hello
Here we go, a short trip report of our familty holiday in Argentina. Here are the 'who'. Then will come the where.
This probably the most iconic pic of our holiday. In front of a glacier in Patagonia. We took a bus to a small harbour, then went on lake Argentina then into a 4x4 and finally climbed on foot for half an hour and discovered the glacier... Colours seem unnatural - we were so lucky to have a perfect blue sky. What you can't see because I was not able to caputre it in my pics was the condor flying over us for 10 minutes...
So is that Mr and Mrs Again and the little Agains?

Somehow I imagined you all as being bigger. A lot bigger. Also Argentina.

You were really up there, above the treeline. How high did you go, and was the air thin?
The paparazzi found you, even though you were all hiding behind sunglasses. Nice to see pictures of your happy-looking family. You'll have some great family memories of the trip.

I will use help from Kerouac to post the pics in a bigger size ...
In Patagonia altitude wasn't that high. The hike at El Chalten starts at elevation 400 meters and goes to 1170 m.
In Nortwest at grande salinas we went over 4000 meters.
Yes Mick. Now you understand why I am a happy man ! The eldest was at home though. Supposed to study.

Thanks for the pics, Whatagain. You covered a lot of the country while you were there. I guess you flew from south to north?

Well done taking on the new photo hosting site. You have jumped in and posted while I am still thinking in circles, too timid to post pictures.

It's a long way from Salta to Patagonia... And Chile, while much narrower, is even longer.
