On a previous visit down south I spent a scorching hot September Sunday in Sete. The beautiful canals with their fishing boats and yachts, all lined with restaurant after restaurant showing off the freshest seafood of the day, made me think I definitely wanted to return. So this year we did just that and spent three nights sampling the delights Sete had on offer.
Our fancy schmancy hotel on the Grand Canal.
The Annual Canal boat challenge which we watched from our hotel room on a sweltering afternoon.
Beziers and the Les 7 Ecluses on the Canal Du Midi - A very short train ride from Sete.we spent a day here. I knew the ropes as a previous visit over a week stood me in good stead. No time was wasted as we hopped a taxi at Beziers station and 10 minutes later we were at the canal. To get back after a lovely lunch a the fairly new restaurant right at the top, we simply waited for the Little white train back to town and walked down through the gardens back to the station. imageshack.com/a/img922/4058/Nm2pbY.jpg
