Moving on from the education thread, I wondered what lessons would be more suitable nowadays and what would be useful for later life.
For example, budgeting...... learning how to manage money. Job searching. Diet (re: sugar, where food comes from, additives, basic cooking of healthy dishes, perils of alcohol and so on) Home maintenance (like changing light bulbs, unblocking drains). Alternatives to using tech devices. Hobbies. Form filling. Social etiquette. Anger management.
Just a few ideas. What lessons would you wish you had had at school, or what do you think would be useful to learn?

One thing that has been determined to be of prime importance in France is to teach the young the dangers of social media (internet bullying, shaming, exhibitionism, trolls...) and the concept of fake news in general. There is not yet an official programme, but it is certain to become one soon.
