I'm sure that anybody who went to school in Canada or the United States was intrigued by the weird point of Minnesota sticking into Canada like a thorn, the result of an ancient mapping error. It appears that there is a movement to rectify the problem. Only 120 people live in the "Northwest Angle" and they have no direct access to any American services even though they pay American taxes.
Unfortunately, it does not look like the situation will be fixed any time soon.
Petition says land doesn't belong to U.S.

Never heard of it. I must have been sleeping in geography class. Or more likely, it was never mentioned.

I had not known of this either until I seen the headline yesterday. I do wonder how they all feel about this, 120 people, there are many ways this will affect those living there, especially if you own property.
