Re Mr Fox...check out the patterns for a Fancy Dress Fox costume in your favourite fabric shop or go online. Once you have a look at how the head pattern is worked you may be able to reproduce it in 3D. Kids here are wearing fox head "One-sies" like pyjamas. I've put the dolls aside because I've got some fabulous new fabric (designed by Kaffe Fassett) to play with...might make a quilt..might make a wall hanging...just playing atm.

I've got some fabulous new fabric (designed by Kaffe Fassett) WOW,back in my knitting days I knitted a jumper using the colours and design of a Kaffe Fassett design. His was a jumper with strong influences from the days of the Ballet Russe... 3 bands of braid in a Fair Isle type pattern in vivid colours on lower hem and cuffs. The main body was black with "floating circles" of colour encircled by yellow in rows.I altered it to have a stand up collar with the braid. Trouble was that with all the wools being carried across the back and using 12 ply wool it was too hot to wear. I started to knit an 8ply DK version last year but my knitting skills have pretty well gone atm. I know I have a pic so I'll look for it.

Knowing how industrious Cheery is, I'm expecting that she will end up with a magical tent right out of Harry Potter.

I had never heard of Kaffe Fassett but looking at a website, the word that comes to mind is "psychedelic". I can't imagine knitting anything like that!

I've finished making a doll for my granddaughter's Hogswatch gift. She is a big Terry Pratchett fan so I've made her a Magrat Garlick Junior Witch (and a bit of a wet hen). Mad hair, dazed expression and clanking with 'occult' jewelery...I''m quite pleased with her.

She is wonderful! I know I've said it before, but one thing that makes your dolls so perfect (besides the brilliant design, personality in the faces, etc.) is the way everything is so perfectly in proportion, making them just that much more real.

Were the eyes part of the pattern or did you do them? She does seem a little more "doll" and less "Person" than your exhausted medics and other real characters, unless she is the "dumb blonde" persona. No matter, she is cute if not over brainy.
