Oh gosh ~ what a lovely garden! I love that wavy enchanted tree in your first photo of the garden. What are the trees with the nekkid trunks in pictures 2 and 3? They look like crape myrtles, but I don't think those grow in that part of the world, do they? Love the landscaping, particularly the very effective mix of formal elements with homelier plant choices, such as the Rudbeckia.

I think you're right, Bjd. They seem to have grown too tall without branching to be crape myrtles.

Are those brown-trunked "nekkid" trees eucalyptuses? All I know is that the handy guide called it 'The Myrtle Walk' the leaves looked right, but I'm not really familiar with myrtle trees or anything other than a bog basic eucalyptus so you're probably right
